HMS Ark Royal
HMS Ark Royal was the pride of the Royal Navy during World War II. She was the first aircraft carrier specifically designed for the Royal Navy, and her feats against the German battleship Bismarck were legendary. Ark Royal was launched in 1938 and served with distinction throughout the war, participating in the Battle of the Atlantic, the Battle of Crete, and the Battle of Cape Matapan.
